Frequently Asked Questions
HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY BOILER BE SERVICED?
We recommend having your boiler serviced once a year. Regular servicing helps keep it operating safely and efficiently, identifies potential faults early and may be required to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty.
WHY DOES MY BOILER KEEP LOSING PRESSURE?
Boiler pressure can drop because of a leak, recently bled radiators or a fault within the heating system. If the pressure continues to fall after being restored, contact a qualified engineer to investigate the cause.
WHEN SHOULD I CALL FOR A BOILER REPAIR?
Contact an engineer if you have no heating or hot water, unusual noises, repeated pressure loss, leaks, ignition problems or an error code that keeps returning. Early attention can help prevent the problem from becoming more serious.
WHY IS MY BOILER MAKING UNUSUAL NOISES?
WHY ARE SOME OF MY RADIATORS NOT HEATING PROPERLY?
SHOULD I REPAIR OR REPLACE MY BOILER?
Banging, whistling, gurgling or vibrating sounds may be caused by trapped air, low pressure, restricted water flow or an internal fault. If the noise continues or becomes worse, arrange an inspection by a qualified engineer.
Cold areas on a radiator can be caused by trapped air, incorrect balancing, valve problems or a build-up of sludge within the system. GAS365 can inspect the heating system and identify the most appropriate solution.
This depends on the boiler’s age, condition, efficiency and how frequently it requires repairs. A professional assessment can help you compare the cost of repairing your existing boiler with the reliability and potential savings offered by a modern replacement.
